The legendary Norfolk & Western Class J No. 611 returned to the mainline this fall on five weekends of excursions with the Buckingham Branch Railroad. It’s been a little while since my last video upload onto my page, so for today I’ll share a recent adventure. Here we see N&W 611 operating out of Goshen, VA over the Buckingham Branch Railroad. These trips ran from Goshen to La Grange on Fridays and Sundays, and Staunton on Saturdays through October. These trips allowed 611 to operate at around 40 mph.
